The Auchan Foundation seeks to “Promote access to good food that brings people together”.
It supports long-term projects with a STRONG SOCIAL IMPACT aimed at:

• promoting food knowledge and know-how
• bringing people together through food
• fighting malnutrition*

* according to the WHO: Malnutrition includes under-eating, over-eating and poor absorption

The Auchan Foundation works with Auchan Retail employees in a spirit of partnership and respect for local cultures with citizens from areas in which Auchan stores and sourcing offices are located.

As at 16 October 2021, it is active in Bangladesh, Spain, France, Hungary, India, Luxembourg, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Senegal and Ukraine.

The Auchan Foundation does not support: 

• projects developed in countries and regions where Auchan is not located
• individual projects
• the creation of for-profit or commercial activities
• the purchase of foodstuffs
• sporting, cultural events, TV programmes, etc.
• the heads of non-profit networks
• local authorities
• organisations of a political or religious nature.
